Hope you're all doing well. We're doing great and just having a ball watching this little cutie grow. She is really a beautiful baby and such a sweetie. We just love her so much.
Our finalization for the adoption is coming up at the end of June. So, we're excited to get that done and then be able to bless her and be sealed to her in the temple. We'll probably do that sometime in July or early August. It's neat because even though we are already sealed to Stella, we get to bring her in with us too while we get sealed to Scarlett. So, our whole family will be in there together. We can't wait.
Scarlett continues to become more and more 'herself' - her personality is really developing now. She is making lots of sounds now and laughing a lot (mostly at Junior our dog). She is clearly an animal lover already. She can't take her eyes off our dog and when she sees him she breaks into a huge smile and tries to reach for him. It's really cute. She likes to roll around on the ground and pick up her little toys from her blanket and look at them/eat them. She loves the outdoors and when she and I and Stella go outside to play, she just loves to sit forever in her little Bumbo chair and look around. She doesn't really love her rice cereal. We still give it to her every day because she's supposed to have it. But, it's kind of a struggle...she just prefers to have a bottle! :)
She loves when we sing to her and she already likes us to read books to her. She has a little blanket she prefers but isn't much of a binky lover. She'll take it sometimes when she's going to sleep. But, never any other time.
She doesn't really love to nap, but she sleeps great at night now. She is sleeping 11 - 12 hours straight every single night. Since we took her off the 11:00 pm feeding, she started sleeping from 7 pm on to about 6 am and I don't think she's woken up even once during the night since then. That was about a month ago. So, we're grateful for that! :)
She has been really a healthy baby. No ear infections yet (knock on wood), no flu, no fevers. She had one minor cold with a runny nose and that was about it. So, she hasn't been to the doctor to be weighed and measured since her 4 month well-check. Her next well-check is at 6 months, so we'll be going in to do that in the next few weeks and will let you know what he says and how much she's grown.
Anyway, here are some recent pictures of her. Enjoy. Thanks for everything.
Love,
Cameron, Jenny, Stella and Scarlett
